Another Swap Week- Part 1
By RogerGirl

Well, here it is.  Swap Week is finally here.  My son and I have been preparing for months and tonight we are finally ready to introduce each other to our Swap Week personas.  I suppose I should tell you a little bit about us before I continue.  My name is Vivian and I am a thirty-six year old single mother.  My son was born during my first year of college after a drunken night at a party that led to sex with an unknown stranger.  When I discovered I was pregnant, I tried to learn the identity of the man I had slept with that night, but I was never able to.  You see, this was a time before Facebook and i never learned the guy's name.  Luckily, my parents helped me raise the baby, which allowed me to finish college and pursue graduate studies.  After completing my graduate studies, I moved to California with my son to begin my career.  It was tough being a single mother and although I would occasionally date, I never got married or had any other kids.

My son, Brian, and I love each other very much and try to help each other in whatever way we can.  There were times, however, that I could tell Brian missed having a father in his life.  I tried to support him as best I could when he started playing sports, but never being into sports that much I wasn't able to help out very much.  Also, he had to ask one of my boyfriends to help him when he started shaving and going through puberty.  Even though he didn't say anything, I could tell he felt uncomfortable asking a man I had only been dating for three months to help him in these situations.

As for me, as much as I love my son, I had always planned to have more children so that I could hopefully have a daughter.  As a teacher I would watch so many girls grow up and get a little bit jealous that I don't have a daughter of my own to raise into womanhood.  Brian tried his best to fill the void, but there was only so much he could do.  He would occasionally accompany me when I went shopping, let me teach him makeup, and would watch romantic comedies and other chick flicks with me, but I could tell he was only doing it because he loved me and not because he really enjoyed it.

At the end of the last school year, Brian and I moved to Sutter's Valley when I got a teaching position at the high school here.  Brian was going into his senior year and was about to turn eighteen and we both knew that he would soon be leaving for college.  Brian quickly made friends with a group of fellow athletes and even found a girlfriend.  I also made a few friends and began dating a teacher named Kenny.  Brian and Kenny got along pretty well and I got along well with Brian's girlfriend, Samantha.  One day, I went to Kenny's apartment and happened upon a pair of women's underwear in his room.  At first I was angry and thought he was cheating on me, but then he showed me something that got me thinking.

"It's not what you think," he said as he opened his laptop, "The underwear is mine, but I'm not a crossdresser.  It's for an event called Swap Week at the high school."

I had heard discussion of Swap Week, but I had never really learned much about it.  He handed me the laptop and showed me a page online that discussed the upcoming Swap Week and even included photos of participants in previous Swap Weeks.  As I looked through the photos, Kenny told me that he had been participating in the event since he was a student at the school as a girl, and later woman, named Kelly.

"I'm participating again this year," he said, "You should participate with me.  My friends the Chos participate every year."

"I'll think about it," I said.

That night I discussed the event with Brian when I got home.  He told me that he had heard about it and jokingly said that I could be his dad for the week.  We both laughed, but it got me thinking.  This event would let us both get to see what life would have been like if I had had a daughter and Brian had grown up with a father.  We discussed it some more and agreed we would both participate.  For Swap Week, Brian agreed to become a girly girl who was into fashion and makeup and I would become a man who was into sports and action movies.  I would also be the soccer coach for the week and Brian would be joining either the cheerleading squad or the dance team.  Of course we would both need to flesh out our characters more before Swap Week arrived.  Since we wanted to surprise each other, we turned to other sources to help us with our transformations.  Brian got help from his girlfriend and several other friends who had participated in previous Swap Weeks.  I turned to Kenny, a few of the coaches, and Mrs. Cho, who had been participating in Swap Week for several years.

We also spent time preparing for Swap Week in other ways.  We each purchased prosthetics for our transformations, brand new wardrobes, and several items to redecorate our house.  We wanted to fully immerse ourselves in our new roles as father and daughter, so we had to create a home environment that reflected this.  By Swap Week, Brian had also grown out his hair and nails and I cut my hair and stopped shaving and waxing for a while.  Being very feminine, it felt strange to see hair on my body, but I knew Brian would be making far more sacrifices for his transformation.

Well, all of our months of preparation are over and it's time for our big reveals.  For the next week I will be Coach Vincent Hayes, father of Sabrina Hayes.  Although he had discussed calling himself Brianna earlier on, as he developed his new persona he found Sabrina a better fit.  He also was able to get a job at the makeup counter at Macy's.  I guess my teaching him makeup actually paid off.  Today we spent the day redecorating the house together, then redecorated our rooms in private.  Luckily we have a guest room to put all of our stuff in for the week.  Now it is time for me to transform myself into Vincent.  Wish me luck, the next time I talk to you I will be a man.
